Nate Pohle, FSA, CERA, MAAA, is a manager at Deloitte, working on the predictive analytics and modeling team. In addition to his actuarial education, Pohle received his MBA in 2016 from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. During this time, he interned at the National Football League (NFL) in the business intelligence and optimization group. In this episode, Pohle discusses his role at the NFL and shares how data was used to guide the marketing strategy to optimize and expand the customer’s experience through digital and social media. Pohle also talks about why how actuaries are uniquely equipped for roles in sports analytics, as well as why he decided to pursue a master’s in business administration and how it complements his actuarial education.
