In this episode, Ling Ling Wang, FSA, CERA, MAAA, shares her perspective on the actuarial profession in China, including how her FSA has led to roles globally, what is required of someone who is thinking of becoming an actuary in China, as well as her advice for the next generation of actuaries. Recently retired, Wang has led a long and successful career, having worked in both the U.S. and China. Her most recent position was as the deputy chief actuary for Ping An Insurance Group. Wang is holds a bachelor’s degree in law from National Chengchi University in Taiwan and a master’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Iowa in the United States. She has served as a council member for the China Association of Actuaries and as a vice president for the SOA China Committee.
